Strengthening your feet – tips from your personal trainer

/ / Blog

The feet support all the weight of the body and are used for walking. Yet they are often considered as the forgotten of the body.
Their reinforcement is essential to avoid pain, contractures and other cramps. You can take care of your feet at home, while watching TV, or even occasionally while sitting at your desk.
Exercises to do three times a week:
1. Stretching the toes: simple movement to do before the other exercises.
Stretch your toes as far as you can and hold this posture for 15 seconds; relax and repeat 4 times
2. Press the points: this exercise is used to strengthen the fingers, the muscles of the foot and the plantar arches.
Slightly lift the heel, press your toes on the floor and hold this position for 10 seconds; relax and repeat 4 times
3. Pick up a pen:
Sit in a chair with your back straight. Place a pen or pencil on the floor and pick it up with your toes. Put it back on the ground, wait a few seconds and take it back. Repeat 10 times.
